                  Chapter 1

                 It All Begins

            Kayley has been my friend for the longest time.  We meet in kindergarten and have been best friends ever since. We are now 16 and we have much different problems to deal with.  I remember when Kayley would say,” Rachelle I am so mad that girl stole my crayon, can you get it back for me?” Now, it is “Rachelle I can’t believe that girl stole my boyfriend she is so mean, what should I do?” Now Kayley is the most popular girl in school and she dosen’t have to worry about anyone stealing her man! She and Nolan have been going out for a year now. They are the cutest couple I have ever seen. Me on the otherhand I don’t really care for a boyfriend right now.  I think all they do is cause drama in a girl’s life. I care more about friends and sports. My family is the best. I have two brothers and two sisters. Usually brothers and sisters fight but we help eachother out and get along great.

Today is going to be very exciting! Kayley, Tyrone, Nolan, and I all entered in a contest through the school. We had to take peculiar pictures that we thought were interesting. Then, we had to arrange them in a colloge. We had to explain why we thought that particulair picture was interesting. There could only be four winners out of all the contestents. Who ever won got to go on a plane to New York City for a week. I will be very wrath if we don’t win. When everyone presented their pictures, everyone was fascinated. At the end of the contest the judges had their scores. They told us we would be notified who won within a weeks notice.

It was finally the week to know who won! Everyone was so excited and nervous. I was wishing it would already be here, but it was’nt. We still had a few days before we would know. Almost all the kids in the contest were saying that they were going to win. But really I had a feeling that I was going to win. Yes! Finnally it was the day that they announced the winners. All the contestents got called to the office.

            “Oh my gosh I hope we win” said Rachelle.

            “If we don’t then I will be so mad” Kayley put in.

            “If we win I will scream” Rachelle said anexisly

            Nolan put in, “We will have a blast in New York”

            Tyrone said, “ I can’t wait to find out.”

One of the judges said, “ And the winners are…”

            Kayley , Tyrone, Rachelle, and Nolan!

            “OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD” Kayley screamed dynamicaly.

            “I can’t believe it! We accually won!” said Tyrone.

All day long we ranted about winning the contest. We could not wait to go on our trip we were so excited. We would be leaving in a month. It seemed so close and so far away at the same time. We allready started paking and getting things ready for our trip. We thought that it would maybe make the time go faster. It was now two weeks away and the time was getting shorter and shorter. My family was getting sader and sader they always told me that they were going to miss me. I would miss them too but I didn’t want to start worrying about that before I even left. I knew I would have a great time with my friends and Tyrone who I really didn’t know but I thought he was kinda cute and funny.

The next day at school was kinda boring. It was a normal day. Classes, lunch, pretty much like a average day in highschool. My locker got jammed and I was late for third period. At the end of the day I went over Kayley’s house and slept over it was Friday and we planned to go to the mall but we ended up staying at her house and Nolan came over and we watched a movie.

“That movie was funny I really liked it” said Rachelle.

“Ya it was hilarious” Nolan exclaimed

“I wonder if they will make another one.” Kayley questioned

“Ya I hope they do that would be cool.” Nolan Answered

            Monday at school was pretty exciting we had a talent show that the whole school got to watch half the day. The acts were hilarious. There was this one band that acually played some good music. Also, there was this girl who sang a song she wrote I really liked it. I have been humming it all day.

            Kayley, Noaln, Tyrone, and I would be leaving in a week. We all were ready for the trip all of our clothes were paked. We were talking about it to school everyday more and more.  So excited how we could be so privaliged to go on this free trip for a whole week. I was hopeing that maybe Tyrone could become closer friends after we spend a whole week together.
