Pearl Harbor is an important part of history because we lost most of our naval base that was located at Pearl Harbor,in Hawaii. Lives of innocent people were
lost when the Japanese made the decision to bomb this naval base,and this event brought the U.S. into World War Two.

Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese piloting 183 warplanes on December 7, 1941, a sunny Sunday morning at 7:55. This military strike was unexpected at this United States Naval base by the personnel that were on duty that fateful day. This attack brought the United States into the war.

Who Planned It
The Japanese had planned this attack so that it would neutralize the U.S.Pacific Fleet and protect Japan’s advance into Malaya and the Dutch East Indies. This attack had built the Japanese confidence in their ability to achieve a short victorious war in other targets in the harbor, especially the navy yard, oil tank farms, and the submarine base. This attack was to destroy the American fleet units, hereby preventing the Pacific Fleet with the Japanese conquest.

How Many Deaths
The death toll that horrible day was unimaginable. Over 3,500 Americans lost their lives that day. American sailors are still entombed in the hull of the U.S.S. Arizona, the loss of life that total 1,000 men. The U.S.S. Arizona suffered direct hits from four 800-kg bombs.

Japanese Warplanes( 183 Divebombers)
were used to destroy Pearl Harbor. The Japanese had pilots that committed suicide by piloting the planes directly into the battleships, all this was done for the sake of a victory in the Pacific. Also used for attack were the machine guns that were mounted on the planes and were fired when in close distance to important locations on Pearl Harbor.

.It happened on Dec,7,1941, on a bright beautiful Sunday morning.This event was well planned and executed by the Japanese.This event brought the United States into the war.Over 3,500 Americans sailors lost their lives and 1,000 more are still entombed in the USS Arizona.This devestation was caused from the bombing done by Japanese warplanes(Dive Bombers "183") Hundreds of these planes were in the air with Pearl Harbor as their target.The Japanese also used machine guns in this attack, destroying nearly 20 U.S.aircrafts. The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor for two hours. All eight battleships of the Pacific Fleet were sunk or badly damaged. It left America as well as other countries shocked by this Japanese invasion.
